We made these paper plate gliders back in half term, when we were on holiday – they were something that we could make easily with very few materials. Continue reading
We have been away for half term, and I took a small bag of handy and simple craft supplies with us in case of rainy days to provide something fun to make inside- luckily the weather was great most of the time, but these paper plate snakes were some of the things we made whilst away. We had made some of these ages ago, and thought they were perfect to make on holiday because they need very little in the way of materials. Continue reading
We have been feeling in the mood for Christmas in our house, so much so that Ted and I couldn’t resist making our very own paper plate Christmas Wreath, inspired by some we had seen on other sites. A great idea for making something for Christmas with little ones. It was such fun to make, and Ted couldn’t believe how realistic it looked when finished and can’t wait to hang it on one our doors inside our house. Continue reading

We have just returned from a fantastic weekend with at parents and family in the Peak District; Ted’s dinosaurs came with us. I remember making gardens on plates when were were little, and while we were staying with my parents Ted made a garden on a plate for his dinosaurs. Continue reading
We love sunflowers, and made these to enjoy all year round inside after we grew some in the garden last year. We used a paper plate as the base for the flowers and all I did was tear sugar paper into a couple of large long strips for the yellow petals and green leaves. Then T was able to tear the actual petals and leaves himself, stick the petals onto the front of the plate and the leaves on the back. The middle is made from scrunched up black tissue paper.
