Paper plate snake

We have been away for half term, and I took a small bag of handy and simple craft supplies with us in case of rainy days to provide something fun to make inside- luckily the weather was great most of the time, but these paper plate snakes were some of the things we made whilst away. We had made some of these ages ago, and thought they were perfect to make on holiday because they need very little in the way of materials. Continue reading

Paper plate Christmas Wreath

Paper plate Christmas wreath

Paper plate Christmas wreath

We have been feeling in the mood for Christmas in our house, so much so that Ted and I couldn’t resist making our very own paper plate Christmas Wreath, inspired by some we had seen on other sites. A great idea for making something for Christmas with little ones. Paper plate sunflower

We love sunflowers, and made these to enjoy all year round inside after we grew some in the garden last year. We used a paper plate as the base for the flowers and all I did was tear sugar paper into a couple of large long strips for the yellow petals and green leaves. Then T was able to tear the actual petals and leaves himself, stick the petals onto the front of the plate and the leaves on the back. The middle is made from scrunched up black tissue paper.
