Ted and his Chinese Dragon

Here is Ted’s very own Chinese dragon that he made last week to celebrate Chinese New Year. He had great fun making the dragons, and even more fun dancing them around the house. We added fluffy feathers for a bit of drama and colour and of course googly eyes. To make the body of the dragons we used cake cases threaded onto a pipe cleaner, which meant the dragons moved around in a similar way to the much much larger ones we had looked at on the computer.  Continue reading

Drinking straw necklace snake

It has been one of those really wet days, and I have finally got round to looking through some old photographs of some things that Ted and I made together a few months ago. Here is Ted’s necklace, or rather his bead snake, which it soon became known as. Here is the mini ice window that Ted made over Christmas. He loved making the ice baubles we had made and wanted to see how it would work on a larger scale, like a mini window or light catcher. Here it is and I think it worked really well. It was a fun activity to do on a cold winter day, and Ted hung it out on a wonderful sunny day, so the sun shone through the flowers. Continue reading

Here is Ted’s milk bottle Elmer the Elephant. We first made one of these together a year or two ago at our village toddler group, and it was our friend Hannah D who introduced us to this craft.
